"We get along with the residents and donate to charity." The place has mostly been a bar, but at times, the Pozzi family will crank up the popcorn maker, or they'll bring in leftovers from their own dinner and share it with customers. Emilio Pozzi started the bar in 1933, eight years after coming to the United States from his native Switzerland. A bartender at another restaurant, he had intentions of owning his own business. "That was his dream, to come to America and do something," Barbara Pozzi said.
