Hugh was born March 24, 1926, in Cheyenne, Wyo. Bud was born Feb. 23, 1915, in Red Oak, Okla. He married Rita Brown in 1949. He lived in Hughes, Salinas and Bass Lake. Bud was a teacher in Hughes and Salinas, where he became principal.

He retired Dec. 31, 1975, as superintendent of Santa Rita Union School District. He moved to Bass Lake and opened a mini storage which is still in operation. Bud also married Ella Hamilton in 1965. He loved his family and enjoyed being a teacher and longtime member of the Masons and Elks club.

Military service: Bud enlisted in the Navy from 1943 to 1949. Survivors: Children, Stan and Annette Brannon; brother, Lloyd Brannon of Oklahoma; sisters, Jennie Towne of Arizona and Corine Tognetti of Alabama; and grandchildren, Tammy Massa and Scott Dickens. Services: Have been held. Aurelio "Leo" Garcia, 57, of of natural causes Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in Salinas.

He was born July 9, 1947, in California. He was a senior driver for 10 years with Day and Night Towing. Leo enjoyed life and enjoyed it Aurelio 'Leo' Garcia passionately when it came to football, racing and driving. Leo was a serious and passionate 49ers football fan. He loved NASCAR racing and he loved driving his tow truck.

Leo also loved to play Scrabble, pinochle and most of all, he loved to play chess. Leo was very proud of all his grandchildren and it brought great joy to his life when he was able to talk to them. Leo enjoyed talking to people and always found time to listen in times of need and then provide a helping hand. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurelio and Flossie Garcia; brother, Ricky Garcia of Soledad; and grandparents, Alma Abucay, Valentina and Pedro Garcia. Survivors: Former spouse of 37 years, Linda Garcia; the mother of his son Ricky, Kristina Dela Rosa; sons, Robert Garcia, Daniel Garcia and David Garcia, all of Gonzales, Lando Morales of Arizona and Ricky Garcia of Soledad; daughters, Denise Milano of Folsom and Melonie Landey of Salinas; brother, David Garcia of Salinas; sisters, Lillian Garcia of San Ramon and Linda Garcia of San Jose; and 10 grandchildren.

He was 72. Barrymore, the father of actress Drew Barrymore, died Monday.

Burial: To follow at Garden of Memories Memorial Park, 768 Abbott Salinas. WATSONVILLE Anthony 'Tony' R. Gomez Anthony "Tony" R. Gomez, 82, of Watsonville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004.

He was born April 14, 1922, in Sacramento. As a young boy, Tony's family moved to Decoto Anthony 'Tony' R. (Union City). Here he met Gomez and married his beloved wife, Irene. In 1951, they moved to Pacific Grove, where they raised their children.

Tony was the owner and operator of the Village Shoe Repair in Carmel from 1951 until his retirement in 1974. For many years during his retirement, Tony loved raising and breeding parakeets and other exotic birds. One of his biggest joys of this hobby was when he gave a trained parakeet to a young child. He also took pleasure in working in his garden, woodworking, fishing and playing cards. Tony very much enjoyed spending time with his family.

His unique way of making people feel loved will be greatly missed. Survivors: His loving wife of 61 years, Irene; daughter and sonin-law, Trudy and Garnet Wilson of Fortuna; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony "Tony" and Trudy Gomez of Salinas; foster son, James "Jimmy" Clure of Newman; grandchildren, Shelley Hawk, Kelley Thompson, Troy Wilson, Anthony W. Actor David Bailey dies The Associated Press LOS ANGELES Actor David Bailey, a soap opera veteran who recently began playing the ruthless Alistair Crane on NBC's "Passions," accidentally drowned in a swimming pool on Bud Garnett Brennan Thanksgiving Day, authorities said. He was 71. Bailey was found in his apartment pool and pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the coroner's office said.
