He was born March 3 1 1 932, in Los Angeles. He graduated from UCLA in 1955 and was employed by the Dept.

of the Navy as Supervisory Mathematician Meteorologist for Fleet Numerological Oceanography Operations in Monterey. In 1987, Milt received the U.S. Navy Meritorious Service Award. He was a quiet intellectual who enjoyed music, literature, camping and cultural studies. He loved amateur radio, and was a member of the ARRL (KB6JS).

He married Naurcne Cuthbert in 1958 (deceased). Milt leaves behind four children, Susan, Eric, Timothy and Robyn; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; wife, Dorothy; step-son, Sterling; stepdaughter, Virginia (Ginger) and two sisters, Doris and Ailcen. Scofield Richard Lowell Scofield, 67, of Salinas, passed away at his home Friday, March 18, 201 1. He was born March 3, 1944 in Sacramento. He attended Marshal School 1st 6th grade, Sutter Jr. High and graduated from El Camino High School. He worked for the State of California Department of Motors Vehicles for 1 5 years, and owned and operated Copy Print ASAP Signs for 31 years in Salinas.

Richards's hobbies included fishing, camping, movies and sight seeing. He is survived by his wife, Irma Scofield; daughters, Jos-lyn Scofield, Lesley Hall; sons, Zachary Scofield, Edric Garcia and Vince Jorge; one grandchild, Haven Avila, a son of Joslyn, and brother, Robert Scofield. Visitation will be held today, March 22, 201 1, from 1pm to 5pm at the Struve and Laporte Mortuary, 4 1 West San Luis Salinas. Eloise was born December 16, 1942 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She started her family in Monterey County were she resided most ot her life. Eloise attended the First Presbyterian Church in Salinas during the last few months of her life and was full of devotion towards our Lord the Savior. She was preceded in death by her parent's, Esteban and An-gelita Gevara; her sister, Elvira dcLeon; her daughter, Diana Bernal and her grandson, Jonathan Gibbs. She is survived by her daughters, Susanna (Richard) Zara-goza of Queen Creek, Rosemaric Bernal of Salinas; her sons, Joe Angel (Helen) Bernal and Johnny (Kristcn) Urquidez of Bakersficld, David Urquidez of Salinas and 15 grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters, Otilia (Francisco) deLeon, Celia (Leo) Trevino and Adeliada Gevara (Greenfield, Jenny (Sammy) Martinez of Modesto; her brothers, Charles (Maria) Gevara of Redwood City and Steve Gevara of Hayward. He was born November 22, 1926 in Sihui, Canton, China. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sit Francisco Yung and Lok Liu Yung. Kwok is survived by his loving and caring wife of 62 years, Fong Lai Yung; his children, Tina Yung, Karry (Rachel) Yung, Kevin (Yvonne) Yung, Kenny and Andy Yung.

Also surviving is his sister, Cindy (Raymond) Leong; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended loving family living in the U.S., Hong Kong, and China. As a young man, Kwok lived in Havana, Cuba before returning to Hong Kong to start a family. In 1976 the family moved to Salinas. He always had a smile for everyone. He will be missed.

Memorial Gathering at his final resting place will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 12 Noon, at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas.
