He loved to spend time with his family, his faithful canine companion, Tucker and friends. He enjoyed a good time, a stiff drink, blue jokes, John Wayne movies and big band music.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Hannelore; children, grandchildren and great -grandchildren. In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no services held. He was a former plant supervisor at Spreckels Sugar Co. for more than 35 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the V.F.W.

Gevara, 68, a lifelong resident of Greenfield, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2011 in Bakersfield.

She was surrounded by her children, their spouses and grandchildren. Eloise was born December 16, 1942 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She started her family in Monterey County were she resided most of her life. Eloise attended the First Presbyterian Church in Salinas during the last few months of her life and was full of devotion towards our Lord the Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents, Esteban and Angelita Gevara; her sister, Elvira deLeon; her daughter, Diana Bernal and her grandson, Jonathan Gibbs.

She is survived by her daughters, Susanna (Richard) Zaragoza of Queen Creek, Rosemarie Bernal of Salinas; her sons, Joe Angel (Belen) Bernal and Johnny (Kristen) Urquidez of Bakersfield, David Urquidez of Salinas and 15 grandchildren. Scofield Richard Lowell Scofield, 67, of Salinas, passed away at his home Friday, March 18, 2011. He was born March 3, 1944 in Sacramento. He attended Marshal School 1st 6th grade, Sutter Jr. High and graduated from El Camino High School. He worked for the State of California Department of Motors Vehicles for 15 years, and owned and operated Copy Print ASAP Signs for 31 years in Salinas.

Richards's hobbies included fishing, camping, movies and sight seeing. He is survived by his wife, Irma Scofield; daughters, Joslyn Scofield, Lesley Hall; sons, Zachary Scofield, Edric Garcia and Vince Jorge; one grandchild, Haven Avila, a son of Joslyn, and brother, Robert Scofield. He was born November 22, 1926 in Sihui, Canton, China. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sit Francisco Yung and Lok Liu Yung. Kwok is survived by his loving and caring wife of 62 years, Fong Lai Yung; his children, Tina Yung, Karry (Rachel) Yung, Kevin (Yvonne) Yung, Kenny and Andy Yung. Also surviving is his sister, Cindy (Raymond) Leong; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended loving family living in the U.S., Hong Kong, and China.

As a young man, Kwok lived in Havana, Cuba before returning to Hong Kong to start a family. In 1976 the family moved to Salinas. He always had a smile for everyone. He will be missed. In 1987, Milt received the U.S. Navy Meritorious Service Award. He was a quiet intellectual who enjoyed music, literature, camping and cultural studies. He loved amateur radio, and was a member of the ARRL (KB6JS). He married Naurene Cuthbert in 1958 (deceased).
