CMifornlsn Wednesday, October 8, 2008 OBITUARIES MODESTO Rebecca Lynn (Armer) Trotter Rebecca Lynn (Armer) Trotter, 43, of Modesto, passed away peacefully on BARTLESVILLE, OKLA. Junior Leroy (Jay) Cornwell Junior Leroy (Jay) Corn-well, 84, of Bartlesville, died Thursday, Sept 25, 2008, at his home following a short illness. Mr. Cornwell was born Jan. 15, 1924, at Mountain Grove, Ma, to John Leroy and Edith Claire (Icenogle) Cornwell.

He moved with his family to Tonkawa, where he grew up and received his education and graduated -J 1 Monday, Sept 29, 2008 with her loving family by her side. She was born Sept 8, 1965, in King City, to Jerry and Helen Rebecca Lynn (Armer) Trotter Rebecca will be missed but not forgotten, for she has left a legacy of people who loved her, who learned from her and who, until their dying days will be influenced by her. She was a loving and generous wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Survivors Husband, David; daughters, Brooke and Paige; son, Dalton; Jerry and Helen Armer; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Melissa Armer; grandfather, Herman Adkins; as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Zackary; her paternal grandparents, Bill and Nellie Armer; her maternal grandmother, Opal Adkins; father-in-law, Walter Trotter; and mother-in-law, Guelda Trotter.

Memorial service: 130 p.m. Saturday, Oct 11, 2008, at Calvary Chapel, 4300 American Modesto, CA. 95356. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rebecca Trotter Memorial Fund, to benefit her children's college education, 2805 Westchester Lane, Modesto, CA. 95350.

beautiful children; Zackary, Brooke, Paige, and Dalton. Her family was her ultimate joy and the light of her life. She totally and completely dedicated her life to her husband, children and family. She worked tirelessly to make their lives the best that they could be. She loved to participate in all kinds of activities with her family and was her children's most fervent cheerleader at all of their swim events.

From a very early age, Rebecca demonstrated an incredible ability to both nurture and protect children, punctuated by her amazing amounts of patience and kindness. She had the gift of making all those that she met into friends, as her warm and inviting personality never allowed anyone to remain just an acquaintance. She was loving and forgiving, to the extreme, with both her family and her friends. Rebecca always had a smile on her face and was always there for anyone who needed help. Rebecca was an amazing artist with the love to Eaint, using the walls of er home as her canvas.

She was always known to be continuously painting either a room or a new mural upon the walls of her home. Everyone delighted in seeing her current works of art She maintained childhood friendships and nurtured those relationships lovingly. She enjoyed going on annual "girls trips" to a different place every year with her friends, especially her best friends, Wendy, Christina and Chris. Rebecca's favorite verse from the Bible states that "Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails." She lived her life as a shining example of this verse.

Rebecca was a member of Greenfield's First Southern Baptist Church and had a strong, unwavering faith throughout her entire life. This was reflected through her use of angels, crosses, and Bible verses in her home decor. She taught these values to her most prized possessions, her children, Brooke, Paige and Dalton. Armer. Rebecca, affectionately known as Becky, grew up in Greenfield, where she attended Greenfield Elementary SchooL She then attended King City High School, graduating in 1983, and continued her education at Hartnell Community College, receiving her associate's degree in 1986.

Rebecca also attended both California State University, Chico, and San Jose State University. While at Hartnell, she met the love of her life, David Trotter. They married in July of 1988 and recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. Together they had four GREENFIELD George CaiSlau George Caillau, 95, of Greenfield, died Friday, Oct 3, 2008, after a long battle of interstitial pneumonia. He was born in San Jose and moved to Salinas with his parents in 1920.

He served in the Army during World War IL from 1941 to 1945. He married the love of his life, Alvina Heffel (affectionately known as Winnie), in 1943. After the war, he lived and worked in Salinas until he moved to Greenfield in 1954 with his wife and two children, where he owned George's Fountain until 1965. He was partners with Elmer Fran-scioni in the Greenfield Mercantile until he retired in 1978. He had been a member of the Monterey County Grand Jury, the Greenfield City Council, the Greenfield Planning Commission, the Elks Club, the American Legion, the Silver Kings and Queens, and he was a life member of the Greenfield Lions Club.

Survivors Daughter, Linda Jo Grogan of Tracy; son, John (Susie) of King City; granddaughter, Denise Jones of Salinas; grandsons, David Grogan (Heidi) of Clovis and John David Caillau; great-granddaughter, Candice Stacy (Sean) of Redding; and his great-grandson, Wyatt Grogan. He was preceded in death by bis wife, Winnie; his parents, Joseph and Maria Caillau; his sisters, Aimee Mossier and Laurette Echeberria; bis brother, Lucien Caillau; and stepbrother, Raoul Capelle. Services: 10 am Friday, Oct 10, 2008, at the White-hurst Grim Funeral Home, 429 Bassett St, King City. SALINAS Paul Edward Matelli Paul Edward Matelli, 76, of Salinas, passed away Saturday, Oct 4, 2008. from high school He entered the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a pilot training navigators until receiving his honorable discharge. Mr. Cornwell was married to Joanne Marie Fitzgerald on June 6, 1946, at Columbus, Ohio, and he attended the University of Oklahoma and received his bachelor of science in science and education in 1950. He returned to military services during the Korean War, serving as a first sergeant in the medical company of the 45th Infantry Division.

Mr. Cornwell's first teaching assignment was at Logan, from 1952 to 1956 at which time Mr. and Mrs. Cornwell moved to Soledad, where he was with Gonzales High School from 1956 until his retirement in 1979. During that tenure, he received his masters degree in education from Central State University at Edmond, in 1970.

Mr. and Mrs. Cornwell moved to Sonora, where he worked with handicapped adults from 1978 until 1988 when they moved to Bartlesville to make their home. From 1991 until 2000, he was active with the ARC Group Homes and served on their board of directors. He was a member of the Saint James Catholic Church and had served until recently as president of the Washington County Diabetic Support Group.

Survivors His wife, Mrs. Joanne M. Cornwell of the home; daughters, Pamela Wilson of Auburn and Debra Cornwell of Paul was a native of San Francisco, 51 born April 30, 1932, the oldest son of Paul and Alice Matel- the most important thing in his life and his family was always first in his heart. Paul led by example, instilling in his children a strong work ethic. Paul will be missed dearly by his family and friends but he will always be a presence, whenever the theme from "The Godfather" is played, an Italian opera is heard, or a quick retort is uttered, we will remember Paul, husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, friend, and proud Italian-American.

Survivors: Wife, Cecile; children, Michael (Toni) Matelli of Aptos; Michele (Tom) Leonard of Hercules; Suzanne (Ron) Puente of Redondo Beach, Paula Matelli of Salinas, and Stephen (LeeAnna) Matelli of Kalispell, Mont; grandchildren, Reijo Rati-lainen and Stephany Leonard of Hercules; Angela and Teresa Puente of Redondo Beach; Rebecca, Robert and Kristina Rhodes of Grand Junction, 'Victoria Matelli of friends, and more importantly he met the love of his life, Cecile Goyette. The two married in 1954, and over the years welcomed six children into their lives. While working for Foods he was named salesman of the year and that job brought him and the family to Salinas in 1964. Paul faced many medical challenges over the years, to include a liver transplant in 1993. Throughout the difficult times, Paul always maintained his sense of humor.

With a quick wit he was known for his one liners. His humor, together with his strong faith, helped him confront the challenges head-on. Paul was active in his church, Madonna del Sasso, Angela's Angels, and past president of branch 200 of the Italian Catholic Federation (ICF). If a man is measured by the company he keeps, Paul's life can be measured in the family he and Cecile raised. Paul's family was Salinas; Madelyne Matelli of Kalispell, Mont; two great-grandchildren; brother, Stephen Matelli of Pacifica; and sister, Mary Ann Matelli of Healdsburg.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Matelli-Rhodes of Grand Junction, Cola Rosary: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct 9, 2008, at Struve and Laporte Mortuary, 41 W. San Luis St, Salinas. Funeral mass 10 a.m. Friday, Oct 10, 2008, at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church, 320 E.
