He was born September 17, 1942 in Mexico and came to the United States as a young man in search of a better life. He loved rodeo and his family. He is survived by Maria Aquino, the love of his life; her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his own children, Alicia (her children, Mikey and Tesslyn), Samantha (her husband, Jim), and Joshua (his wife, Kim). A celebration of his life was held this past Sunday.

A memorial account has been set up in Ismael's name at Santa Barbara Hank and Trust to help the family with final expenses. Bejarano, 96, of Salinas, passed away Friday, October 21, 201 with his family by his side. Fie was born July 4, 1915 in Los Mochis, Sinalo, Mexico. Gustavo moved to Chandler, Arizona in 1918 with his family, where he grew up and eventually met and married the love of his life, Oralia.

They were married for 54 years, until she passed. In 1945, they moved with their family, to Salinas, where he has resided for the last 66 years. During WWII, he enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country from 1942 to 1945 and was stationed in New Guinea, Australia. After being discharged, he began working for Harden Farms, until he retired in 1987. He was an avid card player, who frequented local cardrooms until he was 90 years old.

He specifically loved Texas Hold Em. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Oralia, (1996) and his infant daughter, Irene Bejarano (1947). He is survived by his brothers, Armando and Miguel Bejarano of Arizona; sister, Elena Hernandez of Norwalk; daughter. Mary (Oscar) Enriqucz; son, George (Grace) Bejarano; seven grandchildren, Gina (Rafael) Rodriguez, Audra (David) Duran, Krista (Aurturo) Fuentes, Tanya Robert) Sia-son, Cindy (Frank) Lopez, James Bejarano, and Lisa (Martin) Trujillo; 15 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Frankie, Alex, Larissa, Niko, Danessa, Devyn, Merrie, Kyra, Abraham, AJ, Zianna, JD, Angel and Celine, and one great-great-granddaughter to be born in January 2012, all of Salinas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 26, 201 1 from 1 :00 p.m.

Online condolences: www.struveandlaporte.com V-rJ'fh Rosemary (Edgerton) Hendricks Rosemary (Edgerton) Hendricks, 79, passed away quietly in her home Friday, October 7, 201 1, surrounded by several of her family members, losing her battle with lung cancer. She was born 79 years ago in Yakima, Wash. Rosemary retired from her job in Monterey County and moved to Washington.

Fast friendships were formed over the years of doing business as the ow ner operator of the Speedway Grocery and playing cribbage near and far on weekends. She will be missed. She is survived by her five children. Susan Masking. Diana Ralph, Gary Edgerton, Marilyn Lucas, and Teresa Edgerton; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy Sue Murphy-Woods Nancy Sue Murphy-Woods, resident of Monterey County, passed away Saturday. October 22, 201 1, at the age of 49. Nancy was born February 25, 1962 in Monterey. She was a graduate of Notre Dame I ligh school and earned an associates degree in early childhood development from Hartnell community college. Whether working with the Children's Miracle Network, coaching cheerleaders for the Colts and Broncos as well as Palma High School, the S.P.R.S.I.

(Sociedade Portuguesa Kainha Santa Isabel), P.F.S.A. (Portugese Fraternal Society of America), or Saint Anthony's, she was always involved in the community and incredibly giving of herself. She was preceded in death by her father, David H. Murphy. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Woods; as well as her children.

Philip Woods, Theresa Woods, Katie Woods, Adam (Becky) Woods; her brother, Paul (Helen) Murphy; sister, Dorothy (Jerry) Blakeman; mother, Theresa Murphy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 26, 201 1 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San l.uis Salinas. CA 93901.

201 1. He was born February 7, 1956, in Salinas. He graduated from Alisal High School. He attended Hartnell College where he earned his degree in carpentry. Our dad was an avid Raider fan.

He enjoyed spending time with friends at Mountain Mikes and Applebees. He was a very talented architect and construction worker. His work can be seen in many homes and businesses throughout Northern California. Our dad's biggest pride and joy was his grandchildren. Ricky Gomez.

Narvaez Michael D. Narvaez, 71, of Salinas, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 20, 201 1, of a brief illness. Born September 8, 1940, he grew up in Morgan Hill and graduated from Live Oak Fligh School. He was employed by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company and was an active member of the Kiwanis Club. In 1979, he moved to Salinas and owned and operated Cindy's Restaurant and later The Recipe Box with his wife, Joyce.

He became an avid Coca-Cola collector and belonged to the Golden Gate Coca-Cola Club. After he retired, he enjoyed restoring Coca-Cola memorabilia, working in his yard and traveling around with the Coke Club. He was a loving father and grandfather that truly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially on holidays where he would surprise the grandkids with such things as creative Faster egg hunts. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Creelman and Doris Narvaez and his wife, Joyce Narvaez. He is survived by his two daughters, Pamela Narvaez-McCaffery andTammy (Steve) Gasperson; his grandchildren, Kari (Joshua) Arthur, Joshuwa McCaffery, Jeramey McCaf-fery, Shanae Gasperson and Jennafer McCaffery; one great-grandson, Colton Arthur; his brother, Gary (Corie) Narvaez and his best friend, Virginia Perkins.

His services will be held Friday, October 28, 201 1 at 1 :00 p.m., at the Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th St. in Gilroy. Our family would like to send our sincere gratitude to Dr. Rosen and the staff at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital for their incredible compassion. Ricardo Cerros 24, of Salinas and one time resident of (iary. passed away Saturday, October 8, 201 while serving in Afghanistan. He was born November 2, 1986 in Fort Ord, to Ricardo Cerros. Sr. and Marguerite Quiroz.

He was a graduate of Everett Alvarez High School class of 2005 in Salinas. During that time, he served four years in the NJ ROTC Program, obtaining Commanding Officer of the program. He then obtained a bachelors of Chemistry degree at UC Irvine in California. Shortly after graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Army.

He completed basic training in Ft. Benning, OA. and completed Airborne School, then completed Ranger Assignment Selection. His first Duty Station was in Ft. Lewis, WA with the 75th Ranger Regiment.

That Regiment was then deployed to Afghanistan. He leaves his loving parents. Ricardo Sr. and Deborah A. Cerros of Salinas, and Marguerite Quiroz of Gary, IN; brothers.

Butch and Doris Gomez; aunts and uncles, Linda (Tony), Maria (Renee), John, Francisco Jr.
