Nicholas Wayne Fieguth was born March 28, 1984 in Templeton and passed April 19, 2017, at the age of 33, in New York City after a brief and sudden illness.

Nicholas grew up and lived in Shandon, Salinas, and Paso Robles, eventually moving to the Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, where he lived for the last six years. Nicholas was known for his shining personality and love of all people, and was always able to lift up spirits and put a smile on the faces of those around him. His energy was immense, catching people up in his beautiful spirit. He touched so many lives in such a wonderful way, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Swift and Sallie B.

Jewell of Paso Robles, and grandfather, Robert Fieguth of Etna. He leaves behind his mother, Tracy Jewell- Appling and stepfather, Jeff Appling of Paso Robles; father, Kenneth Fieguth of Paso Robles; brother, Christopher Fieguth of Athol, ID; sister, Kaitlyn Fieguth-Meehan of Paso Robles; stepsister, Amanda Appling of Salinas; grandmother, Wanda Fieguth of Medford, OR, and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life was held by his New York Family on April 22, 2017 in New York City and another on April 28, 2017 in Salinas. It is a testament to the impact he had on the lives of others that hundreds of people came together to remember him. He will be greatly missed but always remembered by his California and New York families.

Nicholas Wayne Fieguth March 28, 1984 April 19, 2017 NEW YORK CITY Anthony Lacono, a young 71, born in Modesto, passed away April 15, 2017, at his home in Salinas. Anthony was a devoted public servant. He worked at the Salinas Public Libraries for the City of Salinas for 36 years. After earning a of Library Science degree from UC Berkeley, Anthony spent most of his career at the John Steinbeck Library before transferring to El Gabilan Library in 2009. If you ever needed help at a library in Salinas, a good chance you met Anthony.

Anthony was an accomplished saxophone player; he started playing in the 4th grade, rocked the stage in his high school band, the Chancellors, and then split shifts while working at the library to play in the Hartnell College Jazz Band for the better part of 35 years. A few more things to give you a sense of Anthony only purchased two cars over the last 50 years: a VW Beetle, he bought in Europe to tour around in with his first wife, Linda Lafaro, and then had shipped back to the States; then a Volvo station-wagon he bought to replace the bug when mechanics deemed it irreparable after it was hit while parked outside his house in Salinas in 1995, only a few thousand miles shy of a million on the odometer. Anthony recycled before recycling was a thing. Anthony was always the last one to leave work, waiting until all of his co-workers were safely on their way home. He gave rides to strangers, donated money to charities, and donated time to causes when they needed hands and not money.

Anthony coached his youth soccer teams, headed up summer reading programs, and dressed up as Santa Claus for kids at the library. For years, he made his own mayonnaise. Anthony would have appreciated levity in his obituary. Anthony is survived by his sons, Dana and Noah; his granddaughters, Madeline and Veronica; his sisters, Lynda and Marla, and his partner, Mary Jean Gamble. Anthony Lacono will be missed, but never forgotten, by everyone who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at his home in Salinas on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Please contact his son, Dana Lacono, for details.
