Arlon Daniels Arlon Daniels of 55 San Juan Grade Road, Salinas, died Friday at Natividad Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 41. A native of Buffalo Valley, he had been a resident of Salinas for five years. Prior to that he had lived in Petaluma for 11 years. He is survived by his mother, Floy Daniels of the family home; two sisters, Linda M.

Compton of Castroville and Joan M. Ponder of Augusta, and twin brothers, Narlon Daniels of Los Angeles and Gerald Daniels of Santa Rosa. He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Daniels, in 1976 and one brother, Jim Daniels, in 1980. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m.

at the Healey Mortuary. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald Domelle, pastor of the Baptist Temple Church. Burial will be in the Cypress Hill Memorial Park in Petaluma at 3:30 p.m. Friends may call at the Healey Chapel.

Man's body found SAND CITY The body of a man who disappeared into the ocean Aug. 22 was washed to shore Friday. Joe Woodruff, 28, of Seaside walked into the ocean at Tioga Beach in Sand City at about 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 22, authorities said.

Seaside police filed the incident as an attempted suicide. At 7:40 a.m. Friday, an anonymous passerby spotted his body on Tioga Beach and called authorities, said a spokeswoman for the coroner's division of the Monterey County Sheriff's office. His body was taken to the Chapel of Seaside where an autopsy is pending. There is no evidence of foul play, authorities said.

Municipal Court Judge Alan Hedegard accepted the innocent plea of Joe Neuhaus, 23, a transient, accused in the stabbing of Terry Eugene Ollman, 38. A preliminary hearing to determine whether Neuhaus should stand trial on the charges was set for Sept. 6. Neuhaus and William Cofof killing Ollman and stealing fin, 21, of Salinas are accused his van on Aug. 22 along Berta Canyon Road.

Coffin is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges on Sept. 6. Three others people are charged with vehicle theft in connection with the incident. Korrina Dykman, 20, pleaded not guilty to the charge Friday in municipal court. John Stuart and Paulette Neuhaus, both juveniles, were expected to face charges of grand theft in juvenile court.

Assistant District Attorney Klar Wennerholm filed special circumstances against Coffin and Neuhaus, because the murder was committed during the course of a robbery.
